Car Stolen And Vehicles Broken Into On North End Of Columbia

Three vehicles were broken into and one car was stolen overnight on the north end of Columbia. The Columbia Police Department is investigating this latest string of burglaries. 

According to the initial report, the incidents took place between 10:45 p.m. Monday, March 13, and 7:39 a.m., Tuesday, March 14. Three vehicles parked in the 600 block of Columbia Lakes Drive were burglarized, reports Columbia Police Chief Jerry Paul. “All of the cars were left unlocked overnight,” he added. Loose items, including coins and cash, were taken.

In addition, a 2004 white Ford Taurus was stolen. It was parked in front of a home in the 2600 block of Elmwood Court, also in the Columbia Lakes subdivision.

There are currently no suspects. The CPD is asking the public to report if they noticed anything suspicious occurring overnight in the area of the Columbia Lakes subdivision. Reports can by made by calling 281-5151.

Also, Police Chief Paul reminds folks to always lock their vehicles overnight and do not leave items of value in plain sight.
