Cropdusting Helicopter Crashes – Pilot Not Injured

The pilot of a crop dusting helicopter avoided injury after crashing along DB Road in rural Foster Pond. The pilot was working for a company out of Iowa spraying chemicals on a field across from the DB Clubhouse.

Neighbors Karl and Sarah Krebel saw the helicopter hit a power line next to one of their barns.  It then went out of control and landed on its side. It came to rest after sliding for about 50 yards after impact.

The pilot walked away uninjured. The Monroe County Electric Co-Op was dispatched to get power restored in the area. The field is farmed by Scott Limestall.
