No Injuries In Columbia Rollover Accident

An SUV rolled and landed upside down in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon on the north end of Columbia. Luckily, there were no serious injuries.

Just after 1:45 p.m., a Toyota Rav 4 and a Ford Fusion ran into each other at the intersection of North Main and Rt. 3. The impact caused the Rav 4 to roll over and land on its roof. That vehicle's driver, Virginia Brown of Sparta, was trapped inside. Columbia firefighters and police officers assisted paramedics in extricating Brown, 66, from the vehicle. After being checked over by Columbia paramedics, the Brown said she was fine and declined further medical treatment.

The driver of the Fusion, Carla O'Brien, 52, of Dupo, was also not injured. Additional information about the cause of the accident and the names of those involved has not yet been released.
