Boy Scouts Assist The Legion In Retiring U.S. Flags

Boy Scouts Troop 320’s Mason Casetta, Michael Casetta, David Broske, Brandon Stimmel, Nolan Sanders and Peter Gutknecht stand at attention to prepare for the ceremony. The Columbia American Legion Post 581 and local Boy Scouts conducted a U.S. flag retirement ceremony on Sept. 14. More than 900 flags have been collected for proper retirement by Post 581. Those with worn U.S. flags are invited to place Old Glory into the designated box outside the Legion hall.
