The 2019 Waterloo Homecoming takes place at the Courthouse Square in downtown Waterloo. The event features food and drink, music, games and carnival rides.
The parade is Saturday, Aug. 24, at 5 p.m., heading south on Main Street from the Peterstown House. The parade route has changed from that of recent years.
Floats will line up in front of Gibault High School. At 5 p.m., the flags and firetrucks lead the way east on Columbia Ave. before turning right onto Main Street. The parade makes it way south on Main until turning right on West Mill and ending near the SPPS playground.
