For the past 15 years, Art Juelfs and Steve Nason, right, have been the first folks at the Monroe County Fair on Demolition Derby Day. They want to guarantee their spots on the top row, 50-yard line, to catch the Friday night action at the Main Arena. In addition, the two enjoy taking a day off work to soak in the sun and spend the entire day at the fairgrounds.
Juelfs and Nason unpacked their tents early and had spots in place by 8:30 a.m. this morning, Friday, July 26. Most of the rest of the crowd starts arriving around 5 p.m., with the demo starting at 7:30 p.m.
