Lexi Ruemker And Gabi Stumpf Are 2019 Fair Royalty

Alexis “Lexi” Ruemker of Waterloo is the 2019 Monroe County Fair Queen. Lexi, 19, is the daughter of Clem Ruemker and Cindy Rehmer Ruemker of Waterloo. She was sponsored by her family’s business, Rehmer-Ruemker Lawncare.

After graduating from Waterloo High School in 2018, Lexi became a student of at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This fall she will be a sophomore majoring in agricultural education. Her career goal is to teach agriculture at a middle school or high school or work in an agricultural company in communications or human resources.

The 2019 Little Miss is Gabi Rae Stumpf. The seven-year-old is the daughter of Sarah and Matt Stumpf of Columbia. She was sponsored by H.W. Stumpf Farm, Krueger Farms, Cocos Plumbing Co. and Too Blue Boutique. Gabi will attend the second grade at Parkview Elementary in the fall.

Gabi has two brothers, Gage, 9, and Gunnar, 3.

The 72nd annual event kicked off July 21 with the Little Miss and Fair Queen Pageant. Alexis “Lexi” Ruemker of Waterloo was crowned the 60th Fair Queen and Gabi Stumpf of Columbia was named this year’s Little Miss.
