The Monroe County Democratic Party set up a donation jar at their hamburger stand at the Waterloo Homecoming. The Democrats were amazed at the community’s generous outpouring of cash and coins. Once the obituary is released, the Democrats will donate the money according to the wishes of the Hopkins family.

The Waterloo community has shown an outpouring of support for the Hopkins family as they deal with the loss of their father, husband, son, brother, grandson, friend….  Citizens are making donations to numerous causes, including Backstoppers, which provides financial support to police officers, firefighters and ambulance personnel who die in the line of duty.  During …
